Nothing like a supportive spouse, right?

Thank you Lord.

Like many, I went the classic "go to college and get a degree” route, and promptly decided to drop out with one semester left to pursue the entrepreneurial route. (to my parent’s chagrin!)

I decided on real estate, and before long (after sending out my first batch of direct mail postcards to find off market deals) I found my first property.

I lined up my “private money lenders” (AKA, Lauren parents) and was off to the races.

I convinced Lauren to help me pull out the old dusty carpets that the previous owners had in the house.

Cleaned the place up a bit.

And we listed it on the market with a real estate agent friend, and within a week or two - the property was sold.

And boy were we happy.

Newly married with a husband that didn’t have a “real job”, Lauren was happy to finally see a good sized check hit our bank account.

And the “bite” from the bug of entrepreneurship has never left me since.

We found a few more properties.

We then pivoted out of real estate and started our own photography business.

Which turned into 1,500+ new customers in just a few years period of time - built off the back of paid advertising.

Which then turned into me offering marketing services for friends and family members.

Which then turned into offering marketing services for clients as well as freelancing for agencies.

But then things changed….

In 2022, I realized that I had developed what they call “long covid” and more specifically “ME/CFS”.

And honestly, it changed a lot for me.

Even though I used to have a ton of energy to run a business with my wife and run marketing for partners and different clients, that energy started to decrease - A LOT.

And although previous business ventures that I had allowed Lauren and I to take quite a bit of time off to be able to spend great quality time with our children as well as thinking of what our next “move” in business would be, I was (and still am) in a tough spot with my health.

I prayed to the Lord about what I should do.

Should I start another business?

Should I freelance for others?

Should I get a part time job while I figure out what to do?

Should I just pause and do nothing?

(That last idea never stuck around, in case you’re wondering!)

It was a hard road.

But here’s what I did (and do) know.

I love the Lord.

I love business.

I love all that I’ve learned over the years (going back to 2016) as it relates to growing businesses with paid advertising.

I knew that with the remaining brain energy I do have that I would love to serve fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to help them grow their businesses.

Even if I didn’t have enough energy to really build a fully operational business for myself, I knew I could still help others.

And with that, I decided to create this “solo-preneur” business.

Faith Focused Marketing.

To help Christian business owners grow and scale their business with paid advertising in a way that is totally results focused.

Marketing that is measurable and transparent.

Bringing my “five loaves and two fish” to the table with my knowledge and previous track record in marketing, while at the same time dealing with a bit of a frustrating chronic illness, knowing that for the right client, we could create a really special win-win relationship.

And even though I may not be able to jump on hour-long zoom calls everyday with clients, my focus is 100% on generating real, scalable, tangible results with proper tracking and measuring in place to hold all of the marketing efforts accountable.

Always communicating with you clearly and always letting you know where a campaign (or project) is at at any given time.

Helping to be your “behind the scenes” guy that is driving more leads and customers into your business so you can have confidence knowing your business is moving in the right direction.

That’s my focus.

And that’s my story.
